For me it’s very difficult to find a picture with someone as I’m the one who is always behind the camera. But whoever took this picture, I’m very grateful. I have so many wonderful memories with HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. He’ll be dearly missed.
After covid we stayed in Delhi Parthsarathi temple for a month and he used to call us every single day and ask if we were comfortable and if anything we needed. He was so extremely loving, caring and so easily accessible.
In Detroit, I used to just stand in a corner to get his darshan, but he’d always speak to me and encourage me. In Vrindavan, whenever he would visit, it used to be a festival for us all. One time I was in Radha Govinda Mandir in Kolkata and suddenly heard that he was coming. He came and checked every corner of the temple. And upon arrival he immediately wanted to give a lecture. There were not many devotees present that time. But still he gave lecture and encouraged everyone.
Many years ago, one morning in Mayapur he was on his walk to Goshala and he saw me. He asked if I live in Mayapur. Seeing my face he realised I was flabbergasted and he started laughing. I consider myself very fortunate that I could see such an exalted Vaishnava in this lifetime who rendered unimaginable services for ISKCON movement and showed his utmost loyalty to Srila Prabhupada.
His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj ki Jay!
