HG  Kurma Rupa Dasa left his body surrounded by devotees, Vrajavasis on Padmini Ekadasi in Vrindavan

Hare Krishna,
Dandavat pranams.

At 8.45am on the auspicious Padmini ekadasi in the greatly auspicious month of Purushottoma, amongst the sacred cows in the glorious Care for Cows Go-sadan in the holy land of Vrindavan, Mathura, the most-dear-to-the-cows Kurma-rupa prabhu left his body surrounded by devotees, Vrajavasis, and uplifting Hare Krishna kirtan, with sacred tulasi on his tongue and head and his salagram-sila Giriraja Maharaja on his chest. Tears of joy and sadness flowed freely as Prabhu peacefully continued to his next service.

On behalf of the servants of Kurma-rupa Prabhu.

HG Kurma Rupa Prabhu had cancer in the advanced stage. He is was residing in the Go-sadan in the midst of the cows, in preparation for leaving his body. He has not eaten in many many days, is rarely drinking, and barely sleeps.

There was a steady stream of visitors including local Vrajbasi's, the temple kirtan party and many others. He had  2 - 3 full time carers including the Doctors assistant who stays here too. Devotees are coming and reading Gita and Bhagavatam to him.

Some Vrajavasi ladies visited him and paid their respects. Prabhu requested them to sing nanda-yasoda dulala giri vara dhari gopal in vrajavasi melody.

Prabhu had said earlier "I am dying, and I am very happy to die."

His family is in contact and was satisfied with the care and arrangements being made.

As of yesterday he was very weak and unable to speak but acknowledges messages and visitors with soft eye and head movements. The Doctor has given an estimation of up to 2 weeks remaining.

Srila Prabhupada's bhajans and classes play in the background.
