We are about to enter new year 2014. This is an occasion to look back , correct ourselves and plan for a year of success . As Krishna-bhaktas , we all know the Vedic truth that, Bhagavan Sri Krishna’s grace is the reason for success .Without Bhagavan’s blessing, we can’t succeed.

On His part, Sri Krishna considers Himself as “Bhakta-dasa” ( servant of His Bhaktas) . After the Mahabharatha war, the Mothers and Queens of Kauravas and Pandavas were visiting the war field . Here Gandhari cursed Sri Krishna, “You were partial to Pandavas. For this ,  Your entire Vrishni-family will be destroyed within (36) years”.  

Then Bhagavan replied calmly, “ My Bhaktas are dearer to Me than My own family. Pandavas are My Bhaktas. As the servant of My Bhaktas, I am obliged to support them under all circumstances. So I have no regret at all for helping the Pandavas. “

Bhagavan Sri Krishna says in Srimad Bhagavad Gita  (18.55-56):

“It is only by bhakti that one can know the essence  of My ( Sri Krishna’s) glories and forms as I am, the Supreme  God . Having known Me in essence , Bhakta merges with Me.

Though engaged in all kinds of activities, My Bhakta, under My protection, reaches the eternal and imperishable abode by My grace.”
