Gunagrahi das Maharaja Health Update.
** Important health report of ss Gunagrahi Maharaja *** Hare Krishna devotees please accept my obeisances, all the glories to Srila Prabhupada I hope you are very well. As everyone knows Maharaja was doing during these last 8 months, a very austere Ayurvedic treatment which consisted mainly in the taking of liquid mercury and 10 liters of water per day and in which, every 15 days, we would check with the doctor the Maharaja’s health and to renew his medicine. Although the first months were very encouraging as it seemed that the disease was successfully leaving the body and very quickly, in the last month and a half Maharaja became very weak and the doctor was not able to made him recover the strength to continue the treatment. That is why the last time we went, he told Maharaja that he needed at least 3 more months of rest to see if he could recover the necessary strength and thus be able to continue with the original protocol. After talking a lot with his spiritual brothers and his oncologist, who has been following his health in parallel for the past 2 years, he decided today specifically that he would stop the Ayurvedic treatment and begin the process of singing and hearing about Krishna. , in order to leave the body when Krishna wants. Maharaja expressed us that after having tried for almost 2 years multiple treatments and now the latter so austere without being able to find an apparent cure, he feels that the time has come to leave everything and absorb himself in Bajhan. Although as mentioned in the previous message, Maharaja is quite stable with the pain and sleep controlled by the medicines, the doctors told us that at least for now he does not have any compromised organs and therefore there are no signs of risk. At the same time we know that Krsna has his plans and that conventional medicines only prolong but not cure, so as he says, it will be when Krsna arranges. we must pray for this last stage to be as light and transcendental as possible and all those who have the possibility of coming to spend some time with Maharaja in this last stage will be more than welcome. Jayshree (oncologist): Maharaja’s body is very weak. He suffers from a lot of physical pain and a deficient intake of food, which results in a marked loss of weight. His memory is not good, probably related to the disease. The last blood tests showed that the vital functions of the organs are normal, except for mild anemia. Maharaja’s general condition is slowly deteriorating, but the functions of his body are still intact. It is not possible, and highly speculative, to estimate the remaining time of Maharaja’s stay in this material world. Maharaja still welcomes his disciples, well-wishers and especially his spiritual brothers from all over the world, to visit him and spend valuable time with him, whenever possible. Maharaja is in good hands and Krishna will take care of his dear devotee.
