Germany’s organisation presents itself

Nestled in a valley in Hunsrück (Germany) lies Goloka Dhama, a vibrant temple, community and retreat center. Drawing on the ancient Indian wisdom, Goloka Dhama provides everyone with an uplifting and aesthetically-pleasing experience of sustainable living, transformative education and loving service to Lord Krishna.

This community was established in 1998 and is 5 hectares big. It is situated in the beautiful forest of a national park. An average of 30 members are living there, dedicating their life to serve the society in providing seminars, retreat and education course meant for an uplifting life experiences.

Our long-term goals: - building big educational retreat center - developing courses on sustainable gardening - raising employability of local youth - developing partnerships to send youth for education in rural entrepreneurship in future areas of activities based on the Vedic culture and values are as follows: Sustainable Living - With a desire to live in tune with nature and the Earth’s natural ecology and cycles, we grow our own fruits and vegetables in an ecological way, taking special care not to prejudice the eco-system we live in, we diligently separate all kinds of garbage to be reused and re-cycled, we produce our own ecological soap, and as a community we consume and promote vegetarian food only.

Investment in Youth - We host yearly children’s camps and have especially thought-out programs for children and teenagers during the different festivals and retreats which we facilitate throughout the year. We take great care and attention of the young generation who are very valuable with the view that they will be future leaders and participants in our society. Spiritual Nourishment - We facilitate numerous courses for spiritual development, understanding of the self and its relationship with the Absolute, selfless service, meditation and harmonious living, as well as Ayurveda and yoga.
