Go slow and take it easy with Krishna Consciousness

I have found it is better to go slow in Krishna Consciousness. It is very hard to get out of this material world and I find if people do it one step at a time it leads to a solid foundation. Not doubt it is the truth but were have been told so many others things that time is needed to know the superme. After all that is why god has given this wonderful life. During my early years I realise I did too much too soon and caused a bit too much pressure to be put on me. I now take it one step at a time and jap as much as I do what I can. This is not say one should not progress faster if they are able to do so. The truth is so powerful that it needs time to be absorbed and praying to Krishna, asking for his mercy, talking to him should also be considered as getting closer to him not just the number of rounds you chant and whether you can leave onion and garlic. Of course this should be the goal but some of us are struggling to to lack bhakt saang, lack of Krishna's mercy, or maybe past karmas so we should not punish ourselves. Sometimes I find people ponder leaving Krishna Consciousness altogther because thet are unable to follow regulative principles. That should not be done. It has taken for us so long to realise what is the truth and so many people are even not at that stage. We should give ourselves credit where credit is due and ask for Krishna's to make up what we don't have and use time and patience to exercise what will come to us naturally while doing our level best to progress in 4 regulative principles. Please offer advice as to what you think respected prabu's and mata ji's? Really looking for bhakt saang or devotee association as I have posted before but not received any replies.
