In older times in a place known as Antarvedi, there lived a very intelligent Gardener whose name was Ravi. He has established a Tulsi Garden which he name as 'Vrindavan'. Along with that, in the same garden he had also sown plants of various other beautiful flowers of mallika, malti, jaati, bakul etc. He protected that Garden from four sides by very long and wide walls and made it very difficult for anyone to cross over it. In the inner part of the garden he has made his dwelling house in such a way that anyone desiring to enter into the garden must first enter into his house and there is no other way to get admission into that Garden.

By living with such an arrangement, he was supplied in abundance everyday with various beautiful flowers in that 'Vrindavan' Garden whose fragrance is distributed in all directions.Everyday he used to prepare beautiful garlands with those flowers along with his wife.Among those garlands, some of them he used to offer for the worship of Lord Narsinghdev, some he used to give to the Brahmanas and from the remaining he used to earn livelihood by selling it.

After sometime a Mischievous Demigod known as Jayant whose is supposed to be the son of Indra started coming there along with the Denizens Of heaven during the night time in his chariot from the path of space in order to steal those flowers. Being attracted by the fragrance of those flowers , he used to take all the flowers with him.Being anxious by the stealing of the flowers for some consecutive days, the gardener Ravi decided to remain awake one night in order to know about the reason of the theft but he couldn't get it because of the supernatural power of that demigod.

As he became distressed by the unnatural stealing of the flowers which is the only source of livelihood for him, one day Lord Narsinghdev appeared into his Dream and unveiled to him about the mystery of the theft. He also instructed the gardener to spread His remnants of the paraphernalia used for His worship into the Garden in order to check the demigod Jayant from further stealing.

As per the instruction of Lord Narsinghdev, the Gardener spread the remnants of the Lord on his garden. The Demigod Jayant came to the garden as usual and started plucking the flowers but as soon as as he mistakenly jumped over the remnants of Lord Narsinghdev, he lost all his power and couldn't even manage to board his chariot for going back to heaven. His chariot driver informed him that because he jumped over the remnants of the Lord and hence committed offence, he couldn't board the chariot.

As the chariot driver is about to go back to heaven leaving the Demigod behind on the earthly planet, Jayant requested him to suggest some solution for the nullification of the offence of jumping over Lord Narsinghdev's Paraphernalia.

The intelligent chariot driver suggested him to go immediately to Kurukshetra where a very grand sacrifice performed by Lord Parashurama(supposed to be completed within 12 years) is going on. He suggested him to serve the Vaishnava Brahmanas participating in that sacrifice by washing their used utensils to order to get purified from the offence of jumping over Lord Narsinghdev's remnants.

As per the suggestion of the chariot driver, the demigod Jayant went to Kurukshetra and started serving there by washing the used utensils of the Vaishnavas present there. While that sacrifice is about to come to an end at the culmination of the twelfth year, the Vaishnava Brahmanas noticed the selfless service of Jayant and asked him about the reason for it. Jayant explained to them about the reason for coming here to Kurukshetra and how he committed offence by climbing over the remnants of Lord Narsinghdev.By the potency of the service and blessings of the Vaishnavas present there he regained his power of a demigod and went back to heaven by boarding over his chariot.
