Getting back by Bhaktimarga Swami

The road to the Delhi Airport was quite smooth. I asked our driver what the name of the road was, but there’s a language barrier. Shame on me. I should know some Hindi by now. There were the shortcuts. They were rough.

Parama Karuna, the professional dancer who was part of our drama troupe, left for Paris from here. The rest of us – Chris, Anya, Dhruva, Kunti, Vya, and I – waited at our gate for Lufthansa Airlines for a stop at Frankfurt before proceeding back to Canada.

Reflections of India from myself

  1. I’m enjoying the fresher air of Europe, even though we are confined to the airport. You can still feel it.

  2. A highlight was the hard work behind the play Witness Gopal. The teamwork was remarkable.

  3. Visiting the various schools and giving presentations to the young students. I am in ecstasy at those times. Seeing and hearing these students gives me hope for the future as I see they are bright.

  4. The participation in the rites such as two weddings, and submerging of ashes in the Yamuna.

  5. I cannot forget my time with Kadambha Kanana Swami. Struggling with cancer is no fun for him, yet I could see he responded well to visits by peers and the sound of exceptional kirtan.

Reflections of India by the rest of my companions

  1. Loved the play practices.

  2. Loved the holy sites; the weddings.
