In a Janmashtami message to the worldwide ISKCON community, GBC Chairman Madhusevita Dasa called upon devotees to protect the unity of Srila Prabhupada’s movement through cooperation, mutual respect, and renewed spiritual focus.
Reflecting on the conflicts troubling the world, he said that bodily identification lies at the root of division and described Lord Chaitanya’s sankirtana movement as humanity’s great hope. He also cautioned against allowing ideological, national, racial, or guru-centered divisions to turn ISKCON into an “archipelago” of separate groups.
“Our love for Srila Prabhupada and Krishna has to be shown by the way we cooperate and find a way to live in unity and diversity in our family of ISKCON,” he said.
