A unique cultural and devotional initiative titled “The Harmony of Heritage: Scriptural Melodies for Peace” was successfully presented by the students of Gaurang Gurukul under the guidance of Bhadra Rupa Das from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. The project was undertaken with the blessings and encouragement of Bhaktivedanta Rukmini Krishna Goswami and received active support from the Faith for Rights Framework of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The initiative provided a remarkable opportunity for young devotees from Gaurang Gurukul to showcase the richness of Vaishnava culture and ISKCON traditions before an international audience across four continents. Through devotional music, sacred arts, and scriptural presentations, the students demonstrated how spiritual heritage can serve as a powerful medium for fostering peace, harmony, and mutual understanding.
The culmination of the project took place on June 2, 2026, with a special presentation based on Sri Gita Govinda, the celebrated devotional masterpiece composed by Srila Jayadeva Goswami. The event brought together approximately 300 devotees, including students, teachers, parents, and senior members from ISKCON Delhi. Representatives from international agencies, the United Nations community, and other global organizations joined the program online, extending the presentation’s reach far beyond geographical boundaries. Besides Gaurang Gurukul from India, there were also presentations by students from Peru, Switzerland, and Senegal.
