Mayapur is becoming livelier with world leaders of ISKCON congregating at Sri Mayapur dhama for the ISKCON leadership Sanga. Today is the day of Devotee Care. HH Radhanath Swami and HH Jayapataka Swami gave morning Bhagavatam class on the topic of devotee care. The budding spiritual city of Mayapur with festivals conducted all over the year is an example of the devotee care that Srila Prabhupada manifested in Mayapur. In the early years of Gaura Purnima festival, when proper facilities were not there in Mayapur, Srila Prabhupada would go to each person and inquire if the arrangements for accommodation, prasada are OK and that they are happy in Mayapur. Following in his footsteps and for his divine pleasure, ISKCON Mayapur serves free Prasad during the full festival period to the increasing number of devotees attending the festival. Srila Prabhupada emphazied that any seva offered in the holy dham is 1000 times more beneficial and he invited devotees to take this opportunity to serve the holy dhama.
On 28th Feb, the festival begins with promising festivities like Kirtan Mela, Sri Panca tattva Maha abhisheka (happening ONCE IN 5 YEARS) etc. This year also commemorates 25th annual Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama.
As you understand, organizing a mega festival running for almost a month, serving free prasada twice ( breakfast and lunch) and other festival arrangements is quite a task for the Mayapur management. We humbly request everyone to come forward to take part in the festival. You can either sponsor a day's prasada or one meal prasada or sponsor any of the events or donate for the Maha abhisheka.
