Through years of personal hardship, spiritual surrender, and a deeply intuitive approach to healing, her work has inspired many to explore Krishna consciousness in an accessible yet transformative way.

Early Years and Introduction to Bhakti

Jahnava Sundari’s spiritual journey started not with quiet reflection, but with emotional upheaval. As a child, she endured intense pain and trauma, navigating difficult experiences that left her emotionally raw long before adulthood. “I clearly remember, like one day, crying and screaming,” she shared. “And I said, tell me, what is my mission? What do I have to do in this world? Come here and tell me!”

That plea, made when she was about ten, sparked years of questioning and spiritual searching. By eighteen, she stood at a crossroads, one path led toward self-destruction, the other toward radical transformation. It was at that moment that Krishna consciousness found her. “It was either that I ended it, or I drastically changed myself. And that’s when Krishna came.”

From the very beginning, she embraced the process wholeheartedly. She immediately adopted the four regulative principles and began chanting seriously, eventually maintaining a practice of 64 rounds a day for extended periods. “The first time I chanted 128 rounds, I was 21,” she said. Her early years in bhakti were marked by strict personal discipline and a deep commitment to spiritual practice, driven by an intense need to change her life.
