Dear devotees, the summer is here and in 3 weeks we are starting our new Harinam tour „Festival of India through Adriatic sea“. The idea of the tour was born in 2004. and since then is continuously being performed every year. This will be seventh tour in a row.
The tour got bigger every year. On first tour there was only 5 of us squeesing in one car with deitys, instruments and whole parafernalia for 3 weeks. Last year there was 20 devotees in 2 vans and 2 cars, and we travelled for 2 months. Since summer 2004. we performed about 450 Harinams in 93 different cities in 3 states (Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro). This year the tour is expanding even more, and it also depends on your help and engagement in this transcendental operation of Sri Sri Nitay Gauracandra.
This year's plan of the tour is quite ambitious. It would go in 7 Mediterranean states: Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia. Untill now many devotees applied from all over the world to travel for July and August. In this 2 months there is about 20 million tourists coming to Croatia and other states.
Last year we had a historical first Harinam in Montenegro, and this year for the first time we will go in Albania. For this occasion BBT printed 2 books in albanian, and GBC for Albania HH Bhaktivaibhava swami gave us his blessings and told us a true story. About 20 years ago, he and a few devotees had a public program in one college. After that they wanted to perform Harinam, but the Albanians threw stones at them!!! Since then, there was practicaly no preaching in Albania.
One more big thing for all of us is visit of HH Candramauli swami who will travel with us for a few days at the end of August. Maharaj is regularly coming to our community and is helping us a lot.
Like you can see, it is a big project and it will require a lot of management for transport, prasadam, places to sleep, administration…So we would like you to get activelly involved and help us to make this mission of spreading Srila Prabhupada's movement possible. We will need a lot of financial help: 100 euro for books in albanian, 700 euro for ferry and toll, 1000 euro for gas, 300 euro administration…also, we need a new amplifier and mridanga.
Please, get activelly engaged in this preaching project of spreading Holy Name in this part of Mediterranean. Sri Sri Nitay Gauracandra and their servants would be eternally grateful to you. All donators will get letters of thanks, and the first three will get special gifts.
