Fault Finding means....Ignoring the positives.. . strengths....good...best in others and finding faults in others, may be in persons, places, things.
For instance people of different philosophical levels go to temple. 1st level people go to temples for praying God to satisfy their desires, 2nd level people go to temple due to fear that if they do not go to temple at least once in a week / month / year, their existing oppulence will go, 3rd level people go to temple as their duty to thank God for making their life good / conmfort / better than others. 4th level(highest level) where very few people go to temple with love for God, to serve God. All these levels of devotion are good when compared to those who are atheists.
Coming to the point of Fault Finding, even though people go to Temple for either of the above reasons, as we are entangled in the clutches of maya, we will be in the habit of fault finding that this thing is like that, that person is like that, this place is like that. We forget that we are going to temple to purify ourselves, and we further get contaminated ourselves and contaminate our atmosphere with our contaminated thoughts. We forget that we ourselves are with complete faults. We forget that when we show one finger to others, balance four fingures or shown on our side.
His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj quotes that "Fault Finding is Maya's vicious weapon to divert your attention from what you have to do in life i.e., to clean up our own hears. Physician heal Thyself".
