Diversity Ecstacy by Bhaktimarga Swami

I popped out of the door of the Air BnB, we are staying in along the lakeside at 7 a.m . I managed to gain a few steps on a peaceful road when I received a call from a sensitive and kind person thinking about the recent death of Bindu Madhava.

“Maharaja (speaking about me) can you send me a recording of condolences to him ?”

“I sure will !” And so there, on the spot, or so, while on the move, I did due diligence.

I met Emma, who as a student, on a summer job, is working for the Ontario Conservancy. I really shocked her while she was bent over finding her boots. The Conservancy buys land when possible and works to maintain a healthy eco-system. When europeans first came to Erie they saw the island as a useless wasteland so they drained much of the swamp cash crop land. It was’t a good idea to turn the whole island into agricultural purposes solely, so now efforts had already begun to dredge. Some wetlands here, a tiny portion, reveal the most awesome lotuses. I took a shot with camera.

When back at the base our group reflected on the Gita, 8.4 (like today’s date) and that holds a powerful message about taking any form of yoga to the level of devotional service to the personality of the Supreme. Two dips in the water gave recreation and one zoom call with South Africa gave intellectual strength. We dwell on the Gita’s 1.40, quotes from the Pandit Chanakya, which are controversial. Tom, old friend from Windsor came to catch up on Krishna stuff. A visit to a 200 year old light house offered adventure. Kirtan closed the day followed by pasta.
