๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ถ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฎ - Today is the Disappearance Day of Sri Kasisvara Pandita. He was the disciple of Isvara Puri. Sri Govinda was another of Isvara Puri's dear disciple. Isvara Puri ordered both Kasisvara and Govinda to serve Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Even though, Kasisvara and Govinda were Godbrothers of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, and thus the Lord Caitanya duly honored them, but because Isvara Puri had ordered them to give Caitanya Mahaprabhu personal service, the Lord reluctantly accepted their service. Whereas Govinda cared for the body of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Kasisvara, being very strong, went in front of the Lord when He went to see Jagannฤtha in the temple and cleared the crowds aside with his hands so that Caitanya Mahaprabhu could pass untouched. Another of his duties was to distribute prasadam to the devotees after kirtana. Later, Lord Caitanya asked Kasisvara to move to Vrindavana and worship Srila Rupa Gosvamiโs deity of Sri Govindaji. Fearing separation from Lord Caitanya, Kasisvara said, "My Lord, if I must give up Your association my heart will split in two." Out of compassion for His devotee, Lord Caitanya gave him a Deity of Himself that was so perfectly formed it exactly resembled the Lord. "Gaura-Govinda," the Deity's name, is a golden form of Krishna playing flute. Then Kasisvara Pandit happily went to Vrindavana to serve Gaura-Govinda and Govindaji. This deity still exists and is worshiped at Sri Govindadev Ji temple in Jaipur!

Sri Caitanya-caritamrta ยป Adi-lila ยป Text 138-142 describes, "Brahmacari Kasisvara was a disciple of Isvara Puri, and Sri Govinda was another of his dear disciples. Govinda was the personal servant of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. In the Gaura-ganoddesa-dipika (137) it is stated that the servants formerly named Bhrngara and Bhangura in Vrindavana became Kasisvara and Govinda in Caitanya Mahaprabhuโs pastimes. Govinda always engaged in the service of the Lord, even at great risk. In the list of prominent devotees at Nฤซlฤcala [Jagannatha Puri], Kasisvara was the eighteenth and Govinda the nineteenth."
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura further describes about Sri Kasisvara Pandita in Caitanya-caritamrta Adi-lila 8.66. Lord Caitanya asked Kasisvara to move to Vrindavana to worship Srila Rupa Gosvami's Deity of Govindaji. Sri Sadhana Dipika says, "I worship Sri Kasisvara Pandita, whose power of love and devotion brought Sri Caitanya to Western India as a Deity." Today the original Deities of Gaura-Govinda and Govindaji are lovingly adored by thousands of devotees in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ถ ๐๐ต๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ต๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ - Today is also the Disappearance Day of Sri Bhugarbha Gosvami. Caitanya-caritamrta Adi-lila 12.82 and 6.68 describes the eleventh branch of Gadadhara Gosvami was Bhugarbha Gosani. Bhugarbha Gosani, formerly known as Prema-manjari, was a great friend of Lokanatha dasa Gosvami, who constructed the temple of Gokulananda, one of the seven important temples of Vrindavana โ namely those of Govinda, Gopinatha, Madana-mohana, Rฤdharamana, Syamasundara, Radha-Damodara and Gokulananda โ which are authorized institutions of Gaudiya Vaisnavas. He was a disciple of Pandita Gosani, was always engaged in topics regarding Lord Caitanya, knowing nothing else.
