- Maatajai has given a beautiful comparison of a Drunkard & Devotion. Some drunkards listen when we say them drinking is bad and they will stop. Some drunkards observe other drunkards drinking and met with accidents, spoiling their health and observing them, they stop drinking. Some drunkards keep on drinking, meet accidents, spoils their health and still continue drinking. They ignore. Similarly DEVOTION, some (Siddhas) assimilates the devotional knowledge by listening, some by observing, some by experiencing and many ignore and lead a normal life alike any birds, beasts and animals.
