Vaishnavi Ministry North America recently hosted an online discussion titled “What is Devotee Care?” with SyamaMohini Devi Dasi from Vaishnavi Ministry-NA and Jai Nitai Das, the North American Devotee Care Representative.
Opening with Srila Prabhupada’s instruction that “your love for me will be shown by how much you cooperate with each other,” the conversation explored how devotee care is not simply another initiative but a core expression of Vaishnava culture.
Jai Nitai described devotee care in one word: sensitivity. He explained that genuine care means becoming attentive to the needs, interests, concerns, and circumstances of each devotee, whether they are children, youth, families, leaders, elders, or those facing illness or the end of life. “At its essence, devotee care is Vaishnava seva, service to the devotees, which we know is more dear to Krishna than his own self,” said Jai Nitai.
