So many bodies but one soul
We wanted independence and you gave it to us all
Seeing us from time immemorial
You never interfered with our wants
Our thirst for pleasure is put to rest by the thought of you, the pure soul
We did not know and suffered again and again
The lucky ones become your servants and reunited with you
The rest of us became theirs
You gave us everything to worship you but we have done everything BUT
For how many lifetimes I have come to this earth again and again I do not know
Let this be last as I write to concede by defeat for independence
To resignify the relationship we once had
A defeat of my ignorance, if you will
And many of those that read this are uttering the same words, from the depth of their soul
Even if they cannot say
We are your children so guide us back home
For you are only the one who knows the true path for each one of us
Diseased, decayed in this body we suffer day in day out
Lost and longing for you we suffer
An accumulation of many lifetimes of sins
That taught us what you already knew
A stroke of devotion can wipe it all
For the heart has to be clear
Let us into your heart where we shall once again reside
For that is our true abode
Be kind to your kids for we were wrong
Devotion is path to salvation
We knew this before, but not that was all
