Death of a King

Our guru maharaj told us a story about a very wealthy king. He lived just about 70 years ago in India near Rajasthan state. He had fabulous wealth, incredible amounts of power, but was very sick. On his death bed, he called his doctor.

“There are so many things that I have left undone,” he said. “I want to finish them before I die. I will give you most of my fortune if you can just grab me one more year to live.”

“I am sorry to say my dear sir,” the doctor replied, “even if you give me all the money in the entire world I cannot give you even one more minute.”

So, really time is the most precious thing we have in our life. The best time to really begin our spiritual life is—now!
