Day Delay by Bhaktimarga Swami

I don’t believe that blue jays serenade. Their sound is rather irritating, however, the group of four flying and perhaps flirting about do look good. They are showing a sign of life with their friskiness amidst those cedar trees. I wonder what they think of us humans moving on, more or less in a sidewalk’s straight line. My four companions and I were destined for Red River, just a good spot for chanting some japa at a bench.

I had wondered why the great mystic, Krishna, had me invest a day in Winnipeg. He must have some purpose for me here as it wasn’t on any itinerary It became obvious when I was asked to view a building along with some prominent members of our Winnipeg community. Well, it passed.

As a future place for meditation, learning and worship, it very much suit our purposes. It really was nice being in the company of people whose hearts are in the right place. For so long we have needed a place of our own to gather. In any event, the offer is on and we shall soon see if offer is accepted.

One of those members who had a look was Daniel. He drove me to Richardson Airport. Thank you ! Ho and behold my flight for Edmonton was re-routed to Calgary. So this was Day 2 for airline complications.

In truth, walking is less complex and easier on mind. Because of all the flight change I  could not deliver my Thursday evening Gita zoom class. I’m glad that I got one class in, in the morning, just after our calm visit to Red River. Rivers have always held a soft spot in the minds of most of us. I believe a daily visit to a river makes a big difference in the therapy department.
