Greet everybody you you encounter with “Hare Krsna” and everybody, the Human Bodies, the Animal, Insect, Bird down to the Microbe bodies are benefited, Eternally. The chanter is equally equally benefited and This is the Samkirtana Yajna.
Samkirtana is often seen by the world of illusioned souls as foolish, offensive and dangerous and the world reacts to the Samkirtana with laughter, ridicule, Humor, Fear and Disgust and so many more reflections of their conditioning.
To perform the Samkirtana Yajna one must be free from self interest in terms of the bodily conception of life and guided and motivated by Knowledge of the Holy Names and Compassion for the suffering souls who are in Ignorance of the Glories of the Holy Name.
We chant our Prescribed rounds of Jappa and continue our Jappa as we go about our Duties. As we walk the Holy Names flow to the Rhythm of our step and the throbbing Ambiance of the World.
Chanting audibly or Internally we are absorbed in the Transcendental vibrations.
Chanting Audibly is Prescribed and exemplified by Haridas Thakura who was criticized for his loud chanting by the Pundits and given statements of the Sastras that the internal chanting of the mantra is superior. He rejected this. We may benefit personally by internal chanting, but Audible, Loud chanting of the Holy Names benefits every living entity. This is the Nature of the Vaisnava. Compassion for the conditioned souls and Mercy in the form of Delivering them by the Grace of the Holy Names.
So much as we are without Compassion and Mercy and motivated by the values of this world we will find this Samkirtana a Sacrifice. All that is to be Sacrificed is Illusion into the Fire of Devotion.
The Samkirtana of the Holy Names is the Prime Benediction For humanity at Large and it Spreads the Rays of the Benediction Moon. It is the Life of all Transcendental mellows and gives us a taste of the nectar we have been forever anxious for.
