In our everyday life we are stressed by many way.To get rid of stress we try many types of ideas as we go for physical trainings or we make some adventurous plans or we watch television, watch films, read books, go somewhere for favourite foods etc.Ultimately do we get rid of stress completely? No, all ideas work for some time and again we get stressed. In this way we feel stress seriously and the result we become sick.
Let me share my personal experience about the effect of stress on me and how I got a solution.By the continuous effect of stress my situation was getting worst day by day, but by the mercy of the Lord I got the guidance of chanting. Initially it was not very encouraging, rather it was like a habit as we do everyday the important rituals in our everyday routine. But again by the mercy of the Lord gradually started realizing the good effects of chanting the Holy Name, and by the time I understood the effect I found myself addicted to chanting the Holy Name of the Lord. Gradually I started chanting more , whenever I get time I chant, I try to chant as much as possible.Now I am in a position that I can feel my body and mind is capable of staying calm and my soul is definitely satisfied because I always feel very happy.It is like all kinds of negativities are going away from me.It is proved that after effect of chanting is very scientific.As per my experience I don't need any type of medicine now nor I need any type of exercise,any type of entertainments to de-stress myself. Now I am realy a very happy person, and I am confident that I can keep my mind stable in any type of situation.

The meaning of this Mahamantra says,”O Lord! O energy of Lord! Please engage me in your divine service.”It is a selfless prayer, a devotee chants for divine service only, nothing else. So the sacred sound gives all pleasure and happiness in the devotees heart.
About the sacred sound Srila Prabhupad has written in the purport of Srimad Bhagbatam 3.26.32.that,it is stated in the Vedanta sutra sound is the origin of all objects of material possessions and by sound one can dissolve this material existence.”Om anavrittih sabdat”it means “liberation of sound”.The entire material manifestation began from sound which materialise if it has a particular potency.This is the transdental vibration” Hare Krishna”.
Srila Prabhupad has explained clearly that the most powerful spiritual sound is the holy name of the Lord. We know the holy name of the Lord is not different from Lord so chanting His holy name purifies our heart and connects us with God. Chanting regularly the holy name enhances our spiritual level of consciousness that we can hear the instructions of the Super soul(Paramatma) in our heart. Our Acharyas says chanting achieves swift step in spiritual enhancement.
Adi Puran has glorified the importance of chanting the Mahamantra,There is no vow such as chanting the holy names of the Lord .There is no knowledge superior to it. There is no meditation which can be compared with it, as it gives the highest result .No penance is equal to it, nothing is as powerful as the holy name of the Lord. Chanting is the greatest act of piety. Chanting is thse highest path to liberation, peace and eternal life.
