To glorify him, whose stature is as stalwart as sky
My words falter, I feel too shy.
Its hard to imagine, the wonders he did.
Like a magician does a spell on others, unnoticed.
How can one believe, that one who failed for 42 years
Would be successful in a land of unknown fears!!!
After each failure, his plans turned bigger.
Sure enough to show us, he didn’t have ordinary vigour.
Be it Allahabad, Jhansi, or New York, Lord himself placed so much hurdle,
To make us understand, he wasn’t made of ordinary material.
With determination like concrete and nerves of steel,
Despite failures, he always moved ahead, with all new zeal.
With determination unsurpassable, each time he faced resistance,
Undaunted surrender to Guru’s words, was his innermost essence.
Always having the spirit of vyavasayatmika buddhi
He always worried about every jiva’s shuddhi.
How to make Mahaprabhu’s words come true, was his only commitment,
For that he was ready to become a puppet or an instrument.
His success was assured by Rupa Goswami personally,
He was humble enough to give credit to others, unconditionally.
Success or no success, he taught us to move ahead with our service
The spirit of servitude is important rather than doing a disservice.
Krishna is the supreme personality, who else could have taught,
So easily you made us understand, this basic thing, what all jivas forgot !!!
This year which marks 50 years for ISKCON
Please bless me with a spirit not becoming forlorn.
Surrender in the words of authorities be my only hope,
To become an instrument, with others I cope.
Please remove from my heart, Ignorance and Lust
As iron is heated to remove the rust.
Please give the strength to get moulded in whichever cast i am put in,
To bear the hammer of tolerance & get freed of all sin.
