I was asked to read Bhagavat Gita. I find it difficult to read such a thick book.Can anyone answer what is in Bhagavat Gita. I would like to know the answer in bullet points as I find it difficult to comprehend when it is in sentences.
According to me Bhagavat Gita explains how one should live his / her life so that he/she can enjoy the bliss of our spirituality.
As we live our life in deseption that we are human beings with spiritual experience but the universal truth is that we are spiritual beings with human experience.
Bhagvat Gita tells the aim of our life that why we are here in this materialastic world full of suffering and sins ,
It gives us a perfact way to save ourselves from clutch of this materialastic world.
Bhagavat gita can be difficult to understand for the first time readers. You will understand better if u read the book after reading self-realisation book/attending lecture of bhagavat-gita. if you sincerely want to understand it, please attend lecture in ur area..

There was some 'necessity' in someone asking you to read Bhagavad Gita. If you see it as a 'thick' book. Yes.. then the answer is very simple. It is yet another book mad of hundreds of pages, printed with some content in it.
However... if you see Bhagavad Gita, as a book that has the verses given by Lord Sri Krishna to his friend Arjuna - thousands of years ago... then, you are in the right path in reading the 'book'. It is time & your reading the book, will give answer to your question. We cannot describe in nutshell what Bhagavad Gita is. You will have to read it, experience it, LIVE it... to know the answer.

Bhagwad Gita has MSC in it. Yes you become Master of Science by reading Bhagwad Gita. MSC here stands for:
M for Matter
S for Spirit Soul
and
C for Controller of both Matter and Spirit soul i.e. Supreme personality of Godhead lord Krishna.
