Review
The book spans multiple continents, illustrating how festivals, cultural programs, and community initiatives help share the message of Gauḍiya Vaiṣṇavism in a wide variety of settings. Organized chronologically by geographic region, each chapter reveals how local traditions blend with ISKCON’s outreach efforts. From kirtan gatherings in African towns to large events in Europe, the memoir highlights the universal appeal of spiritual practice when presented with sincerity.
Readers also learn about the logistics of sustained travel. Indradyumna Swami includes stories of navigating visa restrictions, adapting to extreme climates, and coordinating large-scale events. Despite these challenges, the narrative maintains a hopeful tone, showing how teamwork, persistence, and faith can overcome practical difficulties. A central thread in the book is the transformative impact of individual encounters—simple conversations or small gestures of kindness can lead to enduring interest in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
