Birth of unborn

Birth of Unborn

Today we all are celebrating the most awaited day of whole year, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the day when Lord Krishna had appeared in this world out of His own sweet free will around 5000 years back. Lord Krishna calls Himself in Bhagavad Gita as ajah, which means who is unborn.

So how we all are celebrating the birthday of our dear sweet Lord Krishna? Or in other words what does it mean to be unborn when He actually took birth 5000 years before in this world?

The important thing about Lord Krishna’s birth in this world is, His birth is not like our birth. His coming to this world is like President of country visiting the prison by his own “free will” for some particular purpose and not being forced to go to jail due to some crime. We all are forced to take birth in some particular body, family, city or country due to our past deeds and we don’t have any choice on it, the only choice we have the deeds which we have performed throughout our life. And then based on those deeds we are forced to take birth in different-different situations.

When He takes birth as child of Devaki and Vasudeva, He chose them and He just appeared in front of Devaki and Vasudeva in four handed Narayana form without the process of labor pains etc where the child is pushed out by force of airs etc with so much pain.
And then on the request of Devaki, He transformed Himself into a very sweet baby form.

When we understand about whose coming to this world we are talking about then it is easier to understand Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Who is Lord Krishna?
He is “ishvarah param Krishna, sac cidananda, anadir adir govinda,  sarva karana karanam”, which means, He is supreme controller whose form is full of eternity, knowledge and bliss, who is the source of everything and cause of all causes.

If we think about above few lines then we will understand that He is that “full stop” about which even science talks about, that point (in big bang theory) from which everything has come. So when He comes to this world whole material nature prepares herself to welcome Him because He is that ultimate boss.
Again we take the help of the example of President of some powerful country, when he visits a city, whole city prepares to welcome him. So in the same way when Lord Krishna comes to this world, all planets make the best auspicious constellations to welcome Him called Rohini Nakshatra.

And that auspicious day is today when He had appeared 5000 years ago for bringing the law and order in society and also to appeal all of us to come back to Him and join Him in His eternal fun and enjoyment without the troubles and struggles of this material world where happiness is only the absence of pain. The only price for the ticket to go back and join His fun gang is, instead of trying to enjoy without Him, we need to find our enjoyment in relation with Him because we are part of Him and we can never be happy without Him as fish can never be happy without being placed back into water.

Hare Krishna.
