Italy’s organisation presents itself :
For 5 years, Food for Life, has been working in cooperation with the Municipality of Turin and other local associations for social assistance and inclusion through the distribution of meals to people in need.
We use media and online marketing a lot to promote our activities. We know the value of being able to promote yourself as a rural entrepreneur, and we’re enthusiastic to share it with young people.
Food For Life would like to offer young people a learning experience to help them in their personal development. So that they can acquire new knowledge and practices and gain experiences for their personal and professional future.
The last 2 years we offered more than 150 learning opportunities on the topics of healthy lifestyle awareness. We prepared presentations about eating habits and cooking for well-being, workshops on self-knowledge practices through yoga and meditation and on development of emotional intelligence.
We believe that non-formal education in the field of individual health and wellness is one of the most important investments. For this reason most of our activities are free and open to everyone. We often work closely with people with fewer social opportunities, migrants, minorities and foreign students in Italy.
The organisation has developed a rural community where organic farming and cow care activities are carried out. It is called Bhumi ECO FARM: an eco-village project with a herd of 40 cows, 30 hectares of pasture and a dairy production laboratory.
Young people are involved in life activities in contact with nature, which cultivates their awareness of a simple lifestyle. The goal of the organisation’s rural projects is to create resilient, zero-impact communities. These projects have started exchange and welcome activities to involve young people willing to learn and share practices of agriculture, craftsmanship, production of dairy foods and bakery products.
The organisation aims to create a community that offers young people the opportunity to improve their personal skills and professional skills in the field of well-being and environmental sustainability.
