Bhagvatam canto 1 chapter1 text1

All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga.

Hare Krishna to all devotees.

In Bhagvatam canto1 chapter1 text1 pg no 47,

This converse comes

Sri Vyasadeva says herein that the manifested internal potency is real, whereas the external manifested energy is in the form of material existence is only temporary and illusory like the mirage in the desert. In the desert mirage there is no actual water, there is only appearance of water. real water is somewhere else..

This converse is tricky one as i feel...

Does that mean whatever is there in this material world is not there..does not exist in real..?

can please somebody explain it..?

Hare Krishna

Ashwini.

    Hk,
this material world is like mirage means the eternal happiness which people are searching is not there. just like when you see a reflection of mango in water, when you want to get mango and dive into water, you only get hurt.. that is called illusory. but the real mango has to be somewhere, that is on the tree.. This material world is real and also the external energy of Lord but the the fact that it can give us happiness is unreal. the identification of jiva to this material world is unreal. any more doubts?
