Srimad-Bhagavatam (12.13.13) states, “If on the full moon day of the month of Bhadra, one places Srimad-Bhagavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the Supreme transcendental destination.”

Srimad-Bhagavatam, the Amala Purana, gives us the view of the world of the paramahamsas. After compiling all the Vedic literatures, Srila Vyasadeva felt dissatisfied. By the instruction of his spiritual master, Narada Muni, he compiled Srimad-Bhagavatam in his fullest spiritual maturity, speaking exclusively about pure devotional service. In the line of the Sri Gaudiya Vaisnava parampara, the sweetened Srimad-Bhagavatam became even sweeter after being commented on by our exalted acaryas.

Srimad-Bhagavatam is a beacon of light that can guide all humanity through the dense darkness of the age of Kali. It is indeed our greatest chance to find the way back to Godhead. For all the sleepless nights and hours that our beloved Srila Prabhupada has put into translating the Srimad-Bhagavatam into English, if we want to reciprocate in gratitude, here is a wonderful opportunity.

This year, Bhadra Purnima falls on Tuesday, September 2 (in India). A “Maha Bhadra Dana Yajna” is being organized, on behalf of all Bhadra Campaign participants, to bring auspiciousness to the whole world and to glorify the Bhagavata Purana, the ripened fruit of the Vedas. This yajna will be organized in Ahobilam, the transcendental place of Lord Nrismha’s appearance. The yajna ceremony will feature guests from around the world and will be broadcast live on BBT International Youtube and Facebook channels.

Bhadra Purnima is also the date on which Srila Prabhupada took sannyasa. When asked, “Are you going to America?” he replied, “No, Srimad-Bhagavatam is going to America—I am going with it.”

There are still a few hours left. You can also participate – join in this glorious opportunity to serve the mission of Srila Prabhupada.

Become a giver – for in giving, we receive.
