Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada,In our material life anything can happen at any moment. But little did I realize that it could happen at the stroke of the New Year.We were celebrating the New Year by watching a free display of fireworks on the terrace of our flats. We also had our own fireworks. Our fireworks were flying in all kinds of directions. We would call them in cricket terms googlies.One small spark of the fireworks fell directly into the pocket of my Kurta. And suddenly my pocket was on fire and then my Kurta. I somehow managed to douse the fire and finally removed my kurta. Just a small spark had ignited a fire. And if my nephew hadn’t had the presence of mind to remove my cell, it would have been a disaster close to my heart (literally).I am very grateful to Lord Krishna that nothing serious happened. My realization is that it was also a warning to improve my Krishna Consciousness. I lost my Kurta. My friends and relatives were concerned about my physical well being. But deep inside I am taking stock of how serious I was about my Krishna Consciousness. And I don’t intend to wait for a stronger warning.Your servant
