As we know from the “Teachings of Lord Caitanya,” there are no hard and fast rules for chanting Hare Krishna. Similarly, there are no hard and fast rules for distributing books. I was distributing books at a college, and I saw a security guard coming my way. Sometimes people complain. He was some distance away, so I went into a nearby building. After going through the door, I walked fast to avoid him. I made the first left, and it turned out to be a restroom. I thought, “I’ll just hang out here for a couple of minutes, and then go out and see if the security guard is gone.” While I was standing there, I noticed a couple of people waiting in line to use the urinal, so I thought, “Why waste time?” I started showing a student the Bhagavad-gita.
While explaining it to him, to my surprise I heard from behind a toilet door, “Is that the “Bhagavad-gita As It Is” you’re showing?”
“Yes, it is. Do you want one?”
“Yes, I do.”
The toilet door had a foot of space on the bottom. He stuck his hand out from the bottom, and I handed it to him. A few minutes later he came out and gave a nice donation for it. Krishna arranges amazing ways for people to get books.
