Recently, ISKCON Kurukshetra, Srila Prabhupada’s dream project to spread Krishna consciousness worldwide, was blessed with the auspicious association of Bhakti Brhat Bhagavata Swami, who conducted a spiritually uplifting four-day Japa Ashraya (Level-1) Course attended by around 120 devotees from Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Chandigarh, and nearby areas.
Enthusiastic devotees gathered to deepen their understanding and practice of chanting the holy names in the association of Vaishnavas. Various leaders and senior devotees also joined the program, including Sakshi Gopal Das, Mohan Gaurchandra Das, Srikarta Das, Naam Prem Das, Ananta Sesa Das, Premanjana Das, Kadamba Bihari Das, Vrajendra Suta Das, and Atul Krishna Das, adding warmth and encouragement to the devotional atmosphere.
During the course, Bhakti Brhat Bhagavata Swami gave practical and easy-to-understand classes on attentive chanting, sincerity, prayerfulness, and dependence on the mercy of the holy name. Drawing on Srila Prabhupada’s purports and lectures, along with personal realizations and practical examples, he encouraged devotees to overcome distractions and improve their daily japa. The interactive sessions allowed devotees to ask questions and share experiences, making the course meaningful for both new and senior practitioners.
