Ingredients
For the Crust
•All purpose flour............................... 2 C
•Confectioners' sugar / icing sugar.... ½ C
•Ground almonds............................... ½ C
•Butter, melted.................................. 1 C
For the Filling
•Yogurt......................................½ C
•Sugar....................................... 2 C
•Fresh orange juice................... 1/3 C
•All purpose flour..................... ¼ C
•Baking powder........................ 1 Tsp
•Grated lemon peel.................... ½ Tsp
•Grated orange peel.................. 1 Tsp
•Sliced almonds......................... ½ C
Preparation
1)In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients for the crust and
press into a
greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake in a preheated
oven at
350 F/180 C for 10-15 minutes or until the edges turn brownish
in
color.
2)For filling; in a large mixing bowl, combine all the
ingredients for
the filling and beat until frothy. Pour over hot crust and
sprinkle
with sliced almonds.
3)Bake at 350 F/ 180 C for 25-30 minutes or until lightly
golden
brown. Cool on a wire rack and when warm enough to
handle,
cut into pieces
