•Garden cress seeds (roasted and crushed coarsely) – 50 gm
•Jaggery – 100 gm
•Dry coconut (Roasted) – 50 gm
•Ghee – 2 Tbsp
•Dry ginger (Soonth) powder – 2 Tsp
•Shatavari and Ashwagandha powder – 2 Tsp
•Cardamom and nutmeg powder – 2 Tsp
•Poppy seeds (Khuskhus) powder – 2 Tsp Edible gum – 2 Tbsp
•Almonds, Pista, Cashew nuts – 2 Tbsp
Preparation
1. Heat ghee and fry the edible gum in it, till crisp enough.
2. In the same pan, add jaggery and allow it to melt on a low flame.
3. Crush the edible gum to form a coarse powder, and mix all the above
ingredients in it one by one, mixing it properly.
4. Once the jaggery has melted and has started boiling, add the above mixed
dry ingredients in it and mix properly.
5. Now roll out this mixture, (in a manner similar to rolling chapaties), add all
the crushed dry fruits and again roll it out so that the dry fruits stick firmly
on it.
6. Cut it into pieces (square/ rectangle) to give a chikki shape.
Allow it to cool
