Chipped Rice and Yogurt (Cida
Dahi)

Ingredients
• 1 C chipped rice (thick poha)
• 1½ C milk
• 1 banana peeled and cut into pieces
• 1 mango peeled and cut into pieces
• ¼ Tsp cardamom powder
• 2 Tbsp honey
• ½ C sugar
• 1 C yogurt
• ¼ C golden raisins
Preparation
Wash the poha in cold water and drain. Soak it in milk for 1 hour. In a mixing
bowl, combine the soaked poha and the remaining ingredients well.
** This is the famous dish made on the occasion of “Panihati Cida Dahi”
festival. There are several varieties of this dish; this one is of basic kind. You
may add any fruits you have in hand like berries, apricots, peaches etc.
