Bharadvaja Muni in Navadwipa
Bharadvaja Muni was a great sage who used to live in Vedic times. He was the disciple of Lord Rama Valmiki (the author of “Ramayana”) and personally used to meet with Lord Rama. At times when he was doing his pilgrimage to Ganga sagar to the ashram of Kapiladeva the sage used to walk in tha bnks of Ganges and suddenly reached Navadwipa. The amazing beauty of these places surprised the sage. Knowing that this place is the eternal abode of Lord Bharadvaja decided to stay here. He built a hut on the hill and started to meditate praying to the Lord to see His Gaura Lila. Lord Chaitania appeared to him and promised him that his desires will be fulfilled.
