  hari bol,

  there are five predominant rasas in which krishna shares a relationship with a devotee

  • in a passive state (neutrality)
  • in an active state (servitorship)
  • as a friend (friendship)
  • as a parent (parental affection)
  • as a conjugal lover (amorous). these five different rasas are realized by a devotee ultimately when he reaches to the platform of pure devotional service and the soul recocognaizes his eternal relationship with the lord in anyone of the rasas. for a neophyte devotee like us we just have to perform our devotionl service as prescribed by our acaryas and when gradually we progress in devotional platform and reach to a platform of a pure devotional service our relationship with krishna on the eternal platform is automatically revealed to us. Hare Krishna, YS
