Pranam Dearest Devotee. Hare Krishna.

May you receive transcendental blessings, grace and

mercy from the God of Gods, the Supreme Absolute

Truth, the destination of the pure devotees, the

Knower of everything, the Father of all living entities,

the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna.

A sincere devotee who chants and hears the glories

of Lord Krishna should not be discouraged by the

remnants of material desires within the heart. He

should faithfully wait for the process to naturally

purify the heart of all contamination. An intelligent

devotee knows that the passing days and nights are

exhausting one`s duration of life, and he therefore

gives up his futile attachment to material sense

objects. When a devotee achieves steadiness in

devotional service, feeling transcendental pleasure

at every moment in the execution of his loving

service to Lord Krishna, the knot of false

identification is pierced and all his misgivings are

cut to pieces. A devotee of Lord Krishna is merciful

to everyone. He treats all living entities in such a

way that they can ultimately get salvation from

this material entanglement. With love and best

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

i first came into contact with the movement about twenty years ago, through the music of krishna conscious bands such as shelter and 108. it was while i was in college in new york city. more recently, my interest was re-energized after partaking in parasadm at the temple in new orleans, while i was in the city to do volunteer work.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

the nearest temple is in east hartford, about 5 miles from my home. i have not yet visited it, but i plan to very soon. i have visited the temple in new orleans as well as the temple in new york city.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

for the past few years, i have been on a spiritual journey, seeking shelter at krishna's lotus feet. i have primarily been on this journey in isolation of other devotees. i have spent my time reading various sacred texts, as well as the teaching of his divine grace a.c. bhaktivedanta swai prabhupada. now, i seek the connection with other devotees as a means of further developing my krishna consciousness.

What are your expectations from this community?

as i progress on my spiritual journey, i hope to connect with other devotees, and perhaps receive some spiritual guidance.
