When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
i was born into a christian family but from the age 15 i developed not interest in going to church. so my mother use to force me before i go to church, when i got to polytechnic, there i was with my self so i wanted to read books concerning spirits and spirituall life. i got one friend his grand-father before dead gave him some books. i started readin and came accros some names like Krishna,Laksmir etc.one book was the pride of india i read this book and wanted to practice what was inside but seemed no working.before all these i had bought some magazin from harinam group at the age of 8 but my family did not allow me to read. one day after my tertiary education walkin in town and approached a certain man selling books and told him to give me books concerning spirits,he told me one is there which is about marine spirits, so i told him to give to me and sold it to me at higher price. i read that book and content of the book was not as presume, it talked about God in unprecedented way not as i know God in the christian view. Do you want to know the book ? so i decided to look for this society to know more of this mystry and i searched for hare Krishna temple and from there became a member. the book is SRI ISOPANISAD. HARE KRISHNA

am a young man of 29 years not maried.i like always haering about the pastimes in the vedas. my ultimate wish is to become a good devotee to pleases Shrila Prabhupada and Shri Shri Radha Krishna so my next live if possible be spent as servant to him in Goloka Vrndavin.Hare Krishna.

Today is Amalaki Ekadasi. The important of this Ekadasi is described in Brahmanda Purana in a conversation between king Mandhata and great sage Vashista. It is stated that a pious king named Caitraratha had put a pitcher of water,an umbrella, cloth, shoes and five kinds of precious jewels under an Amalaki tree inside the compound of the vishnu temple. Whole night he made sankirtan with others. A hunter was also there with them. By observing this Ekadasi, the hunter became a very nice devotee with many opulence. Later he was known as King Vasuratha.
Although a devotee doesn't want any opulence in exchange of his austerity, but Krishna is so merciful that He offers everything to His devotee without doubt.
Ekadasi Fasting is a good austerity. Please continue it with determination.
