When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I came in contact with the Hare Krishna movement first through the RadhaRasaBihari temple thru my visits with my parents for darshans.That was since 1990. My father was a life member at Juhu temple ,so we used to visit the temple on a regular basis for darshans ,programs on festivals etc. However, I became serious in spirituality after i joined the councelling system at Sri RadhaGopinath mandir.We got introduced to RadhaGopinath mandir by a devotee (HG Venugopal prabhuji).That was in 1996.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

For past 7 years(2006-2013), we were in Portlamd,Oregon (USA). There is a small , nice congregation of 30-35 sincere , committed congregation members . HG JaiSacinandan prabhuji has been the temple president there for past 2-3 years.There are many initiated devotees like HG Rohini Kishore prabhuji and his good wife HG Shyamaras mataji, HG Krishna Keshav prabhuji and his good wife, HG Rukminipriti mataji, HG Paramkaruna prabhuji and his good wife Damodarlila mataji,HG MadhavGauranaga prabhuji and his good wife HGManjarigopika mataji. My husband (HG Vrajkishor prabhuji) is now, on a project based job .So we keep moving on a yearly basis. Currently we are in Brentwood,Tennessee. There is no ISKCON temple/center here but devotees meet for satsang programs at the house of H G Nitai Gaursundar prabhuji and Matsya mataji. H H HanumatpreshakSwami Maharaj guides devotees in this area.

I am a mother of two kids , elder daughter 8 year old and younger son 4.5 years old. I am home schooling my daughter So i always look for ideas, tips and inspirations related to raising children in KC .Any homeschooling inputs would be a great help too. Anything Krishna Conscious that can be of help of any aspect of Grihastha Ashram is also good to read and hear .In general anything KC is good.

What are your expectations from this community?

I really feel grateful for all that this website offers. Personally,I feel the need and importance of having loving, nice ,quality association at all levels (juniors,equals and seniors) in KC, where we can help each other to feel loved,cared and inspired, irrespective of the external concepts of likes and dislikes on a personal basis. Also, a thought comes to my mind as to what can be done whereby the children with a common,devotional background can get connected with each other even though they may be physically far off so that they can feel happy and inspired in their KC too. Thank you very much.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I feel right now I am really tight with my services at home and with children. But ,would like to do something in the future if time permits.
