When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

1986, I was introduced to Hare Krishna My Parents.................. By my birth..................(even before this)

Mayapur .........West Bengal Mumbai...........Maharashtra My family members and friends.................(They are totally devoted to ISCKON)

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

ISKCON name is familiar from my very early childhood......I was surrounded by all these activities........some (10 people) of my family members are directly related to ISKCON ...... I am familiar with kirtan, spiritual songs,magazines, newspaper published by ISKCON authority etc........But one thing I must say that I did not feel GOD..............When I came to IIT Bombay.....I came but I was totally devastated........I was frustrated........If my parents didn't support me may i did suicide...(though they are still supportive).."GOD loves me before I love him"...It is the biggest realization of my life....I came here because he brought me....I got friends which were most expected in my life....I started to go "bible study"..Before going to this I could not pray to GOD what I exactly want....after that I slowly start to feel the existent of GOD...I re-realize what I used to see from my childhood....Again I went to MUMBAI ISKCON..with my friends(whom i met accidentally) ...I want to go to GITA readings also....."GOD knows what I need because he knits me from my mother's womb "...Hare Krishna

What are your expectations from this community?

"Best service to the people of this world".............Sometimes I have seen in my own eyes some ISKCON devotees are chanting mantras very nicely..but there behavior to general people is extremely rude.....how can we approach GOD without respecting people..we all are children of GOD.....all are same in front of him.......He did not give right to anyone to do such things..........My expectation is very very big....(I think ..You understand what I want to say)...Hare Krishna
