When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

on 28 February 2008, I joined Bangalore ISKCON. I had Inclination towards Krishna from the very beginning and wanted to associate with krishna devotees from long time, but due to family restrictions i was unable. When I came to Bangalore, Sri Krishna hari Das(Dr. Satish Gosai) from ISKCON delhi, a disciple of HH. Gopal krishna goswami maharaj, gave me Jagannath temple Bangalore adress.

I got attraction towards Krishna in my childhood from my mother and my grandmother. Because of growing up in a communist family, I was very less supported by other members of my family. Being a Bengali, I was forced to eat non-veg in my childhood also (Though I never liked animal killing), I came to know about ISKCON from ISKCON Bhubaneshwar and always wanted to associate with them since they were Krishna devotees(Though my family never allowed me to do so).I came to know about Mahaprabhu from my grandmother and my mother gifted me a Bhagwadgita (from Gitapress publ.) in 1996. By Lord Krishna's mercy, in 2008, I came to Bangalore and since I was staying alone, I has freedom to visit ISKCON whenever I wanted, I became a regular visitor and started chanting. Today, its more than a year and I am aspiring from HH Bhakticharu maharaj. Please bless me so that I can progress in my spiritual life...
