When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

Upon discharge from the Navy I moved to Sausalito, near San Francisco, California. I saw a devotee distributing Srila Prabhupada's books and purchased one. I then went to the Sunday feast at the Frederick Street temple. I became a regular guest of the temple and went often to the new temple that was made in the mission district, on Valencia Street. I spoke often with Kashava, Jayananda, Janaka, Guru Das, and all of the devotees there.

Honolulu, Hawaii. I know almost everyone there. Currently the TP is Vatsal Prabhu. I have attended programs in Hawaii since 1982.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I first heard the Maha Mantra in 1967 while serving in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. I ordered by mail the Krishna Consciousness album, made on Happening Records, and have been chanting Hare Krishna since that time. Jai Srila Prabhupada!

What are your expectations from this community?

Just to learn more about the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness and to advance in devotion to Lord Sri Krishna.
