When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I first visited a temple in downtown Detroit when I was a troubled youth of about 15 years of age. Except for that first encounter I have never met anyone from the Hare Krishna Movement.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

At this time, I know no one that is a devotee. The nearest temple is in Pontiac Michigan. At this time, I have no transportation so I am not able to be with other like minded Krishna followers.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

My name is Rick and I am 52 years old. At this time I'm on disability because I lost part of my right leg below the knee in an accident. I have been reading the Srimad Bhagavad Gita for over 25 years. My life and outlook changed from that time on. However, it wasn't until recently that my faith was firmly in place and all doubts washed away. I am now, with the Grace of Lord Krishna, seeking to further establish my relationship with our Lord Krishna. Our Lord Krishna has become very dear to me and more than anything, I wish to become His devotee. I seek liberation from the material binds that trap us here in this repeated cycle of birth and death. I wish to return our creator Lord Krishna in His spiritual abode.
