I have not heard any such things...yes from the point of practicality...because when wife is pregnant, she may need the emotional support, care from husband, she need to be cared and protected. And it is the right time to begin educating the child from womb, so that when the child comes out, he/she can be a devotee of the Lord. So husband may be present near wife to take care of her spiritual and emotional needs...husband just can not be insensitive/irresponsible to the needs of wife, to protect her and care for that reason, he may avoid going away..forgetting his responsibility.
Nobody can fulfil that responsibility that husband has towards wife...because women is protected by husband during her youth..
