Daily number of rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra.
I chant the mantra everyday - but no set number of rounds.
When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I met devotees in Los Angeles in 1979 originally at the Sunday feast in Topanga. David Shapiro (Nrsimananda) and his wife at the time, Mohana, open their "Pyramid House" as an alternative ISKCON "center." I also met an original devotee of Srila Prabhupad, Gauri, who taught me the philosophy. She is no longer on this earth planet. Sarvo, who is in Vrindaban right now, also knows me very well. A lot of devotees that I used to know have left ISKCON.
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
Chicago Temple - Vinod and Ramesh know me and Donakali who opened a center with her husband in Urbana IL - but I met devotees originally in Los Angeles in 1979 and David Shapiro (Nrsimananda of ITV) knows me also.
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
I had a guru before meeting Krishna devotees. I agree with Srila Prabhupad's teachings. But I don't like "joining" organizations. I met many wonderful ISKCON devotees and have much respect for them - but I also know about the "problems" that have hurt ISKCON.
What are your expectations from this community?
Just to be informed. Right now I work and have to take care of an elderly mother - but some day I would like to render some service. I am especially interest in the Food for Life programs. I would like to know more about them.

Today is the very first day of the rest of my life.
This is the beginning of a new day.
I can waste it ... or use it for Spreading KC.
But what I do today is important,
because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
