When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I started chanting with the Hare Krishna devotees in Berkeley California in 1970. I have slowly committed more and more to chanting the Maha Mantra throughout my life. I lead a satsang at the yoga center and chant the mantra with the students. I have a dear friend who is going to Alachua to live and she and I are devotees in bhakti service.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

Sumati Bellsey is my friend who is connected to the Krishna community in Alachua. Since I live in Baja, I am fairly isolated from the temples. I use the internet, with all the youtube offerings of kirtan. This is how I connect.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I am a devotee of Lord Krishna and Sri Radha. I am 64 years old and am married. I have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. I teach yoga, asana, meditation, mantra, and kirtan. I have an MA in music, with a focus on ethnomusicology. I play the harmonium, the sitar, the dilruba, tamboura, and guitar.I offer prasadam for our meals and I have been a vegetarian for 41 years.

What are your expectations from this community?

I would love to immerse myself more fully in the community of devotees. I feel connected and supported by people of like mind and heart.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I do not know yet specifically, however, I am ready to offer my devotion, and do what I can to serve.
