When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

As a teenager in the 1970s at the Laguna Beach Temple & as a young married man I was involved in the New Shantipura Temple in Fullerton, CA.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I am a 55 y/o divorced man who has been a part of Krishna Consciousness since 1978. My level of observance has varied--I was married to a non-devotee for 21 years. I am a school teacher and a member of the SLC Temple Congregation and am pursuing initiation (finally!). I've been observing all of the regulative principles for over 18 months.

What are your expectations from this community?

To be an online community of support as I work toward initiation.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I take my turn in the rotation teaching our morning call-in Srimad Bhagavatam Class, I perform manual labor at our Temple, I contribute financially to my congregation, I volunteer in several capacities at our Festivals and I will be added to the preaching/lecture rotation at the Temple when I have completed the Discipleship Course. It is all wonderful service that blesses me.
