When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I came in contact with Hare Krishna movement, during my bachelor's education in Pune, Maharashtra, India (2004-05). However, I was convicted in Houston, TX, USA (2012-13). I faced immense anxiety, being the only son, over material world matters, when it came to making a choice between my ambitions in US, family in India and my love, all facing in different directions. I lost my self identity and peace, in the process, and forgot the purpose of my life. Intoxication proved to be very temporary recipe from the stress and it has done more harm than good. Finally, after reaching a hasty climax, I prayed in the Houston temple to our dear Sri Sri Radha Nila Madhava and found my true conviction.

I am free-spirited, self confident with a charming personality who doesn't hesitate to delve in reason and logic to come to true conclusions. I have a good taste of both Indian and American culture, and I have tried to pick the best out of two - love, respect, spirit to celebrate, communal harmony and individual freedom to express. I have come to believe that each person is unique, beyond judgement, and is free to chose from what life offers him. My current profession of educator (Assistant Professor) at KKW College of Engineering, Nasik, MH, India, provides me ample space, to discover Him and experience His love.

What are your expectations from this community?

* Sharing of knowledge from Gita and Shreemad Bhagvatam, with other devotees. * Application of that knowledge in this age, at different walks of life - importance, various ways and results. * Stay in close association with fellow devotees, regardless of where I am in future.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

* Delivering sermons, when capable, in the form of in-person counselling, seminars and blogs, spreading the love of Krishna.
